Our Undergraduate Access Scholarships supports students who've successfully completed our Manchester Access Programme to succeed whilst studying at the University of Manchester.
Our Undergraduate Access Scholarships supports students who've successfully completed our Manchester Access Programme and progressed to study at Manchester. The award is funded by our alumni community and donors.
Essential criteria are criteria you must meet to be considered for this scheme. Students who do not meet this criteria will not be considered for this award. The essential criteria for this scheme are as follows:
- You must have completed the Manchester Access Programme
- You must be studying your first undergraduate course at the University of Manchester
Please note that if you are have completed the Manchester Access Programme AND are an independent student (as verified by the independent student team), you will receive a £2,600 award from the Undergraduate Access Scholarship.
The University will do an automatic assessment of your eligibility for the MAP Undergraduate Access Scholarship in the first 6-8 weeks of semester 1 and we will email you in November if you will receive this award. You do not need to apply or provide any further information to us. If you are a continuing student, you will be contacted in November to confirm your next instalment of the scholarship.

Engaging with donors: This scheme is generously supported by a donor. Successful applicants will be expected to provide regular updates on their progress to the donor and meet with them as part of the terms and conditions of receiving the award.
